History of the T-Shirt

The T-shirt is an important part of the Arlington Winter Run tradition. Each year runners are treated to a new T-shirt design to proudly show off until the next Winter’s race. From the first T-shirt in 1978, the shirt’s design has incorporated Winter snow flakes. Penguins soon were added and didn’t missed a year until Don Zetnick officially became the race’s honorary namesake. Don’s famous character has graced the T-shirt since.

Times change, and styles come and go, but an Arlington Winter Run t-shirt is never out of style! Take a look at some of the past t-shirt designs and how they have evolved over the race’s 35 year history.
